AUPL wrap up:  Onduparaka revenge on Vipers, Villa gets vital win, Jinja derby draws.

 

AUPL RESULTS :

 

  • Onduparaka FC 1- 0 vipers
  • Sadolin FC 0-0 Bul Bidco FC
  • SC Villa 5-3 Bright stars

 

Two days from the international break, the Uganda premier league resumed this evening with three fixtures at Bet way Green light stadium where the caterpillars hosted Uganda cup champions, SC Villa hosting bright stars at Mandela national stadium and at Bugembe where they experienced a goalless Jinja derby between the painters and BUL .

 

At Nambole, it was a hockey score as the Jogoos defeat Bright stars scoring five times in reference to stars’ three. Paul Mbowa, Martin Kizza, Alex Kitata,  Lwanga Tadeo, Eturude Abel were on target for Villa as Fred Segujja, Martin kivumbi and Joshua Kawaddwa scored for the visitors.

 

In the absence of their star player Vitalis Tabu the Jogoos managed to secure three points with the services of Paul Mbowa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Alex Kittata , and Kizza Martin to give Coach Shafiq Bisaso a much needed win.

 

In another fixture, giant killers Onduparaka FC squeezed the venom out of the Vipers fangs in Arua thanks to their captain and star boy Shaban Muhammed goal, in a game aimed at revenging a 3-1 loss in the Uganda cup final, Vipers won with Pius Wanji brace and Elisa Sekisambu on target, the revenge mission was successful as cranes young striker finding the back of the net.

 

The caterpillars now go 5th on the log with eighteen points just below leader KCCA FC with 28, SC Villa with 24, vipers 3rd and soana 4th both at 20.

 

In the third game of the day Sadolin paints FC shared spoils with Bul at Kakindu stadium drawing goalless in the Jinja derby. The painters with a point earned at home go 9th with 15 points and Bul jump from relegation zone to 13th position with 11 points, only above Police also at 11points, winless duo of  Jinja SSS at 8 points and Hippos at 3 points.
