2017 AFCON: Liverpool’s Mane will be key as Senegal name final 23 man squad.

 

Senegal who open the AFCON tournament against North African nation Tunisia on the 15th January at Stade de Franceville, head coach Alliou Cisse names his final 23 man squad.

 

The former Birmingham, Portsmouth, Nimes, Sedan, Lille , PSG midfielder Cisse is among the few coaches who have already named their final AFCON squads.

 

The Lions of Teranga captain and Westham  midfielder Cheikh Kouyatte  will captain the squad in Gabon, Liverpool star player Sadio Mane will be missed by Jurgen Kloop for over 6 weeks, Stoke City’s Mame Diouf , Gudison park bound Idirisa  Gana Gueye is among the EPL stars who make the cut for the Senegal team.

 

Famara Diedhiou, Cheikh M’Bengue, Zargo Toure , Saliou Cisse are some of the stars from the French league one who makes the squad.

 

Senegal after the opener on 15th, will entertain Zimbabwe on 19th January and play favourites Algeria in the last group game on 23rd all matches to be played in Stade de Franceville.

 

Alliou Cisse has named a squad mostly composed of European based players ahead of a big task ahead of him.
