In the AUPL fixture played this evening at Muteesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku, Express played to a goalless draw with wasteful secondary side Kirinya- Jinja.

As early as the 2nd minute, speedy winger Michael Birungi burried Express’ first opportunity on magician Bengo through ball sending it wide.

The visitors didnot sit back, agile forward Faisal Muwawu header cleared off the line by Express left back Promise close in the 8th minute.

Express creating a couple of chances late in the first half, were also lucky not to concede a penalty, the visitors appealing to Ronnie Kiseka slight handling in the area.

Early in the second half, returnee to Wankulukuku Daniel ‘Mzee’ Serunkuma rose up to the occasion trying from a long range but his short dealt well with by goalie Ikara.

In the 62nd minute, Kayiwa almost broke the dead lock his well struck effort forcing Buule a figure tips save.

Inspirational captain Kasonko missed on his well struck shot and Esenu missing on a couple of chances for the visitors’ late opportunities.

However the most controversial moment of the game came in the 80th minute, when Agele brought down Esenu in the area but referee Kaddu not interested.

‘Mukwano gwabangi’ will have midfielder Kasule to blame putting to waste their only clear chance of second half in the 90th minute.
