Abraham Ndugwa, Martin Kizza, Samson Kirya, Isaac Kilabira,Tom Ikara, Brian Ahebwa, Shafiq Kuchi Kagimu, Shafiki Bekaki, David Ndihabwe, Nicholas Kasoozi are those dropped from the Uganda Cranes squad preparing for the TOTAL 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Finals in Morocco.
After the 4 days of non-residential training at both Namboole stadium and Maroons Stadium the technical team decides to trim the squad to 27 players to start residential training.
Most of the Cranes players did the CHAN medical earlier before going for CECAFA, so there was little or no chance for those who had not done medical to make the final squad.

Rahmat Senfuka, Bright stars’ Seif Batte,Godfrey Lwesibawa and Moses Waiswa, who were not summoned earlier are among the squad players to enter residential camp at Lubowa.
U-20 shot stopper Said Keni is preferred ahead of Tom Ikara and SC Villa’s Samson Kirya.
Surprisingly Shafiq Kagimu who was so influential in the qualification campaign is among those chopped. Abubaker Kasule, Batte Seif, Mustafa Mujuzi, Senfuka, Daniel Isiagi and Lwesibawa among the paper weight names included.
