Cranes CHAN contingent returns home.

After a fairish performance in the ongoing Total CHAN championship in Morocco, the Uganda Cranes contingent has touched down Entebbe international airport aboard Qatar air freight 1387 at exactly 2:35pm East African time.

The Cranes knocked out in the group stages only managed a single point; lost 1-0 and 3-1 to Zambia and Namibia respectively and managed a goaless draw in the last group game against Ivory Coast.

The national football team coach Sebastien Desabre has not returned with the team but rather the French man has travelled to his homeland for a short holiday as FUFA communications manager Ahmed Hussein stated.

We always have a leaf to pick from these continental tournaments, in different areas; for example players character and behavior, media and other things, The head coach has travelled to France for a short holiday where he will meet players in European leagues and he will be back before the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League.

The official press conference will be held after the CHAN championship which ends on 10th and Desabre will address the media and the FUFA president Magogo will take apart according to Hussein.

Just after the return of the Cranes, domestic competitions return this weekend with Uganda Cup round of 64 fixtures.

The contingent that has returned included 23 players and officials.
