AUPL: Tricky test for Struggling Express away to wounded K-Jinja SSS.

Relegation threatened Express FC travel to Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe tomorrow Tuesday, 3rd April to face 4th placed wounded Kirinya Jinja SSS in an anticipated tough AUPL tie.

K-Jinja SSS that lost 1-0 to KCCA FC in the last game at home, host Express in the 5th ever meeting between the two clubs in all competitions but the 4th in the league.

K-Jinja SSS go into this fixture targeting their first ever win against Express. The previous four meetings have seen Express emerging victorious twice 1-0 in the league at Kakindu Stadium last season and 2-1 in Uganda Cup at Wankulukuku, then two draws (1-1) last season and (0-0) this season at Wankulukuku.

According to K-Jinja SSS communications manager Kulumba, three changes have been made by Charles Ayiekho from the starting team which surrendered a late 1-0 against CAF champions league group debutants (KCCA FC); Muwawu Faizo replacing Madondo Joel, Amaku Fred replacing Mark Bamukyaye and Didi Muhammad replacing Lubankene in goal.

Anthony Mayanja returns from suspension after missing the KCCA FC home game and he replaces teenager Vincent Zziwa on the bench alongside Mark Bamukyaye, Joel Madondo,Lubankene, Jerome Kirya, Makon Laudry and Isaac Ntege.

The Wankululukuku based club fighting for survival has never been relegated in history and has won 6 league tittles and 10 Uganda Cup troohies.

Express XI against Proline previously.

Shafiq Bisaso’s men fighting for their top tier life, go into this fixture all out for three points to lighten their chances of survival. FC are currently 14th with 19 points just above Proline and Masavu also at 19 but with a better goal difference.

Express will look on to center forward Alfred Leku and Michael Birungi for goals tomorrow and Charles Ayiekho’s school boys will look on to Fred Amaku, Faisal Muwawu and Musa Esenu.

The school boys enjoying the best ever league run are 4th with 34 points just nine points less than log leaders SC Villa.

If Express wins tomorrow, it will ascend to 12th with 22 points if only Mbarara city looses to KCCA FC. And a win for K-Jinja SSS, will see them go to 37 points but remain 4th.

Relegation battle is stiff between Bottom placed Masavu(19), Proline (19), Express (19), UPDF(22) and Mbarara City(22).

In the other AUPL games, tittle contenders Vipers host Bright stars,and  holders KCCA FC welcome another relegation threatened side Mbarara city.
