The national netball team the She Cranes are playing at high gear in the Africa netball championships in Zambia after impressively winning two games today 17 th, August against Kenya and Botswana. The She Cranes faced off with Kenya in their third game of the championships managing to win 61 – 42.
Vincent Kiwanuka’s side then went further to register their fourth straight win of the tournament with a 65-35 victory over Botswana later in the day. Uganda is now in poll position to retain the African title and also book its slot for the 2109 Netball World Cup tourney that will be held in Liverpool, England.
The She Cranes who are ranked 4 th and 7 th in Africa and the world respectively as per the Confederation of African Netball Associations (CAN) and International Netball Federation (INF) rankings will now face horns with the hosts Zambia on 17 th and will play Zimbabwe in their closing fixture of the tournament on the 18 th.
