The 5 time National Basketball Champion, City Oilers on Monday qualified for the Semifinals of the 2018 playoffs as they swept Sharing Youth 2-0 in the best of 3 series.
The first quarter of the game ended 24 City Oil and 23 Sharing Youth. In the second quarter the City Oilers had some good lead as they scored 17 points and Sharing Youth scored 13 points. The half time ended 44-37 in favorite of the City Oilers. In the 3rd quarter we saw a serious fight as the Sharing youth came back strong and City Oiler only scored 19 points as sharing scored 16 points. The last quarter of game was full of action as the City Oilers were outscored by Sharing Youth as it ended 22 points scored by Sharing and 21 scored by City Oilers. The game ended 84 City Oilers and 77 Sharing Youth.
Jimmy Enabu was the top scorer for City Oil with 20 points and 3 assists. Laudry Ndikumana added 13 points and 14 rebounds. On the Sharing Youth side Ceaser Kizito aka The Future was the top scorer of the game with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists on him as Okumu Emmanuel added 11points and 8 rebounds.
City Oil will be facing KIU Titans in the semifinals in the best of 5 series
In the ladies category,KCCA Leopards did what was expected from them as they swept Angels basketball Club 2-0 to advance to the semifinals.
KCCA Leopards will be playing against their harsh rivals UCU Lady Canons.
The semifinals games as announced by the federation earlier will kickoff on Wednesday.
