Ahead of the South Sudan Africa Cup of nations qualifier game, twenty Uganda U-23 (Kobs) players have been summoned and surprisingly U-17 wonder kid Tom ‘Kaka’ Kakaire has been considered.
Creative midfielder Kakaire was impressive in the recently concluded U-17 CECAFA zone qualifiers.
Onduparaka Junior Team’s Iddi Abdul Wahid and Robert Kitabalwa of St Mary’s Kitende are other young stars included in the squad.
Uganda Kobs will play South Sudan in the AFCON Qualifiers with the first round matches taking place between 12th and 20th November and the winner after the two legs will face Tunisia in the second round. 18th and 26th March 2019. Egypt will host the finals in 2019.
According to Fufa.co.ug, the summoned team will be handled by Mathias Lule supervised by Senior National team coach Sebasten Desabre, will have a two day non-residential training on Friday and Saturday..
