Kampala Capital City Authority head coach expressed that his side should have won the return leg fixture that in a way was regarded as the title decider as the Lugogo based team hosted defending champions Vipers SC at the Startimes Stadium on Thursday evening.
“Points lost,we should have won, with a whole margin of about 5-3 because also Vipers had good chances. But the bottom line I think it was a good game. The lads of both teams tried to play some good football and it’s good advertisement for our league. You don’t buy it any where. But I think the result flatters to deceive”
The gaffer also went on to commend the development of his players albeit still believes the team is operating at 50% of its potential.
“I think since Kasozi was given his debut,he has been our most consistent player. Since our away game to Mbarara City. The talent he has,but he had to take time to learn how to play. Its not easy,i am educating these players, you must appreciate that, the way we have to play, the way you think the game should be played,we need clarity on the way football should be played.. The modern game requires players to know exactly what do to and that’s what we are trying to do.”
Kcca maintained their 4 points advantage over table neighbors Vipers as they travel to bottom placed Paidha Black Angels in Zombo in a fixture that Mutebi thinks won’t be a walk over for his troops.
The Kasasiros now require only 4 victories to win back the title that they last won in 2017.
