Uganda Cricket Cranes were off to a bright start in the ICC T20 World Cup Africa finals with a win over Botswana.
Having missed their supposed to be first game on Sunday 19 th following unfavorable pitch conditions at the Lugogo Cricket Oval due to down pour, the boys didn’t show any signs of rust.
Botswana won the toss and chose to field first with Uganda losing two early wickets in Zephaniah Arinaitwe and captain Roger Mukasa,
But in spite of a scary start, the Cranes spurred by Arnold Otwani managed to push the figures from 19/2 to 84/3 as the latter hooked off 44 runs off 27 balls with a few sixes in the mix.
The six teams are contesting for the two slots into the T20 World Cup Qualifiers, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October/November 2019.
