KCCA FC midfielder Sadam Ibrahim Juma, Christom Ntambi have been dropped by Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre when naming his final 23-man squad that will take part in the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Four players have been dropped from the provisional squad of which two are locally-based players and two professional players respectively.
The dropped players are Sadam Juma, Charles Lukwago both KCCA FC ,Alexis Baka( Carlstad United), and Kirizestom Ntambi (Coffee FC)
The four join Vipers’ midfielder Moses Waiswa who sustained a knee injury earlier and returned home.
New boys Bavis Mugabi who plays for Yoevill Town and Abdul Lumala (Syriaska) make cut into the final squad.
Allan Kyambadde, Patrick Henry Kaddu, Dennis Timothy Awany and Tadeo Lwanga are the only four players locally based that make the cut into the final squad.
The list will be submitted to CAF to beat today’s deadline as the shirt numbers have also been confirmed according to FUFA.co.ug
Uganda Cranes will play DR Congo Zimbabwe & Egypt in Group A
The final squad has three goalkeepers, nine defenders, seven midfielders and four strikers respectively.
