Kwibuka Women T20 Tourney: Uganda set new T20 records after running over Mali

Uganda Lady Cricket Cranes run rout over Mali in the Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 Tournament 2019 as they set a T20world  record 304 run victory.

Uganda rewrote new figures of the highest total in women’s T20Is over England women’s 250 for 3 against South Africa women .

Also the 227-run aggregate between Musamali and Alako in women’s T20Is is now the highest replacing 182 total runs set by South Africa’s duo of Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine against South Africa women in 2018.

The margin of victory (304 runs) beats the previous best in women’s T20Is which was  UAE women beating China women by 189 runs in January.

Uganda won the toss and chose to bat first to register a massive 314 for 2, the highest total in all T20Is – men or women.

Opener Proscovia Alako (116 off 71)and captain Rita Musamali-not out(103 off 61)both hit centuries for Uganda, the first time two centuries had been hit in the same innings of a women’s T20I.
