AFCON Preview: Cranes’ Onyango hints on Zimbabwe’s weaknesses

Uganda’s captain Dennis Onyango admits to spying on some Zimbabwean players ahead of The Cranes’ group A AFCON tie on Wednesday,26th June.

The skipper downplayed The Warriors’ power play in some of their key players like Karuru,Musona and Khama Billiat during the post match press conference today.

‘I have to spy on the Zimbabwe players. We have looked at their video clips. Most of the players play in the PSL and have played with some of them in the same team. Every team has its own weaknesses. I tell my teammates about their weaknesses’ Onyango stated

Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre also further affirmed how much important it is for his team to stay focused and concentrate on the task ahead.

‘We are professional enough and we need to adapt to every situation. Whereas Zimbabwe had an extra day of rest, we are also focused for the game. We did our preparation. For the water breaks in between the matches, it is upon the referee. We have our quality and concentration for the game’

‘Like Dennis Onyango or Faruku Miya, Emma (Okwi) is also very important. He has played in Europe at some stage. He has a good spirit. He is a good guy and has a lot of experience about Africa with his club, Simba Sports Club’ – Desabre added.
