Nkumba set for Genocide Memorial tourney

Nkumba University Volleyball Club Ladies (NUVC)  will set off this evening by road to take part in this year’s Genocide Memorial Tournament in Kigali, Rwanda slated for June 28 – 30. The League Champions are also defending champions for the regional tourney and will fight hard to defend it having humiliated Kenya’s KCB to clinch the title last year.

Fresh from lifting the womens’ Aporu memorial cup tournament in Kumi, Nkumba will be looking at beefing up their trophy cabinet. Nkumba are  arguably the country’s best female volleyball club and while they will want to win the title, it will also give them an additional boast when they resume league games in a bid to defend their title.
