Uganda Cranes skipper Dennis Onyango assured Ugandans that he is well after a scare in the last group game against Egypt.
The shot stopper went off the pitch with around 15 minutes to stoppage time in The Cranes’ 2-0 defeat following an assessment by the team doctors.
Onyango had been suffering from a flu 2 days prior to the game but had been declared to be in good shape for the top of group affair in Cairo.
However,he cleared the worries during the post match press conference saying,”I felt dizzy in the final stages of the game because of the much heat and humidity levels. I am much better and will be fine, hopefully by the time we play again,” Onyango told the media.
The Cranes(expected to date either neighbors Kenya or giants Senegal) managed to qualify for the the round of sixteen stage after gathering 4 points in 3 games and finishing second to hosts Egypt.
