Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has warned his team against complacency if it has to pick up a good result against Senegal.
The Cranes have had a good run at the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations booking a historical second knockout stage slot after gathering 4 points in group A to qualify behind Egypt.
But now they face a much different game interms of expectations and perhaps need to put the previous results behind them and focus on the task at hand according to tactician Desabre.
“It is a knock out game so we are adopting another tactic that what we did against Egypt. Our chance is difficult because we are facing a very good team and a good coach. We are not afraid of any opponent”
“We were not afraid against DR Congo or Egypt , we respect all the teams but we fear none, we need to be focused and forget the previous matches and look forward to the coming one. We will take our chances and hope to succeed,he told the media at the prematch press conference on Thursday.
Uganda last played at the AFCON knockout stage in 1978 when they put up a shocking 2-1 victory over Nigeria.
