Super8: Vipers’ Golola Damands More despite Knocking Out Proline FC

Edward Golola kicked off his third stint as Vipers’ coach on a bright note eliminating Uganda Cup champions Proline in the Pilsner Super Cup

Despite defeating Proline 1-0, the new manager Golola highlighted on the need for improvement in some areas

Am happy for the result, the boys have played under instructions though there are a few things we need to improve and as well the players will be expected to give more as the season starts. I must accept we missed the players with the national team but all the boys available are ready and we believe all can play Watambala had a good game because we have prepared him well.

We had a good game, defended well only that the goalkeeper blunder cost us, we need to work on our scoring but this was a good test match as we go to the continent

Mbarara City will play URA FC in the second Quarter final of Friday in mbarara, Onduparaka will host Tooro United in Arua on Sunday and new boys Wakiso Giants will welcome reigning champions KCCA FC at Wakisha grounds on Tuesday next week

Vipers SC will play either Mbarara City or URA in the semifinals. Mbarara City and URA faceoff this Friday at Kakyeka stadium.

The Super 8 is a competition comprised of the top six teams from the league and two teams that were promoted directly to the top-tier from FUFA Big League. These include; KCCA, Vipers, URA, Tooro United Mbarara City,Onduparaka, Proline, and Wakiso Giants.
