Airtel Rising Stars: She Kitaka, Busia Trust Champions of Eastern Region.

She Kitaka from Mbale defensed their Eastern Region title after edging Town View Bugiri.
The game which ended to a goalless draw, went into penalty shootouts and She Kitaka converted 5 penalties while Town View converted 4 penalties.
Beatrice Adukule, Catherine Namataka, Zabinah Namboozo, Halima Nambafu and Esther Nabonyo scored She Kataka penalties whereas Halima Babirye, Shakira Nakasango and Rashid Nanangu converted Town View’s kicks. Eunice Namusubo (Town View) missed from the spot.
In the boy’s finals, Busia Trust won championship after thumping True Vine (6-5) in the penalty kick outs in a game which ended into a goalless draw in the normal time.
The 3 days tournament saw 16 boys’ teams and 8 girls team participate in the Airtel Rising Stars 2019 which took place in Soroti.
