Vipers’ New Boy Bayo Delighted With Cranes Return

Fahad Bayo signed weeks ago by Kitende based Club Vipers SC from Zambian side Buildcom FC could not hide his joy to return to the national team after a while.

Am happy to return, it has been long since I was last summoned, this has given me courage to fight more to be there always, and because it was one of my intentions to return to Uganda so if am given chance like this, a lot should be expected from me just like have tried to put up a good show in the few games have played here but I have to do a lot more.

The lanky speedy forward, as well revealed his intentions of playing professional football in Europe in his last remarks.

 I have a dream of playing in top leagues in Europe, so I have to work a little more whenever a given chance at club and country. He told Sports256

Bayo was part of the Cranes team that played in the AFCON qualifiers but had spent a while not being included and was not considered for the AFCON finals.

On his return to the Uganda Premier league, Bayo scored a brace in the Pilsner Super eight final against reigning league champions KCCA FC and was outstanding in the 3-1 league win against Bright Stars

Proline FC signed him from Ssingo FC before selling him to Buildcom FC.

Interim manager Abdallah Mubiru named squad of 25 players is comprised of; 4 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 9 midfielders 3 forwards. The will play Kenya in an international friendly match to be played on 8th September 2019 in Nairobi.

The local based players will train on Thursday morning at the StarTimes Stadium (9am) before flying out the same day later in the evening while the foreign based stars will connect from their clubs direct to Kenya, according to FUFA official website

FUFA is using the FIFA intentional break to prepare some of the players for the two legged 2020 CHAN Qualifiers against Burundi and the 2021 AFCON Campaign that starts in November when Uganda Cranes plays Burkina Faso and Malawi
