Zizinga, Kawooya Named in Uganda U20 Squad

Midfield sensation Ashraf Zizinga, Andrew Kawooya and Ivan Bogere are some of the notable faces named in the Uganda National team (U20) CECAFA provisional squad.

Zizinga a student at St Mary’s Kitende is one of the exceptional creative talents among his age mates. School mate Kawooya also included is another promising young star raising through Vipers Junior team ranks and the national U17 given chance to establish himself on a bigger level.

Proline FC forward Ivan Bogere has also been considered for his superb form in the league and on the continent in the CAF confederation Cup and much will be expected from him at this level.

Justine Opiro, Ssekajja Davis, Komakech Jack, Ssekimbegga Kevin, Yiga Najib,Kizito Garvin Mugweri, Kawooya Andrew, Kakaire Thomas and Asaba Ivan arw some of the U17 that participated in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations 2019 in Dar es Salaam

Wakiso Giants’ enterprising midfielder Hassan Senyonjo, Villa’s Charles Lwanga, Vipers’ left Aziz Kayondo and Abdul Karim Watambala, Cranes & Proline midfielder Bright Anukani, KCCA FC trio of Musa Ramathan, Sadat Anaku and Stephen Serwadda are Uganda Premier league already established players summoned.

The provisional squad of 30 players will start residential training at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru under the stewardship of coach Morley Byekwaso.Uganda will host 2019 CECAFA U20 Championship tournament from 21st September to 5th October 2019.
