FIBA Afrobasket 2021 -Rwanda
After several months of uncertainty surrounding world sport due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, international basketball returns once again to Africa with the FIBA AfroBasket 2021
Fans will be allowed to attend the prestige championships in Kigali so long as they return negative PCR tests in the past 48 hours, had the first shot of the vaccine amongst other guidelines.
The Rwandan Basketball Federation in collaboration with the Rwanda Ministry of sports has passed out guidelines and free vaccination points for all local fans who wish to watch the games.
Uganda Basketball team the silverbacks are currently in Rwanda gearing up to start their campaign against Senegal on the 25th August 7PM.
The Ugandan camp has been boosted with the late arrivals of Igualatorio Cantabria Estela (ESP) guard Robinson Opong Odoch and Eric Rwahwire who play for the Canadian side Hamilton honey Badgers.
Uganda defeated Cave Verde and Morocco 101-98 and 77-65 respectively in Morocco to finish 3-1 mark en route to qualifications.
August 25- Senegal Vs Uganda, 6pm
August 27- Uganda vs Cameroon, 12pm
August 29- South Sudan vs Uganda, 6pm
