Vipers SC have today unveiled Roberto Oliveira Gonçalves do Carmo as their new head coach who will assisted by Marcelo Cardoso. The appointment ends a series of speculations about the club’s next coach a position which became vacant after the resignation of then Head Coach Fred Kajoba.
This has come after unsuccessful inquiries on several local coaches like Mike Mutebi and Charles Livingston Mababazi amongst a few, however, it was the former KCCA FC gaffer who was rumored to be close to completing the switch to kitende.
With the unveiling of the new foreign coach, Vipers embark on a project hinged majorly on player development. The appointment of Roberto comes in handy since he recently worked with the Brazilian national academy side CBF academy.
The Brazillian credentials fall in line with the Vipers SC project which is build on youth development.

We needed some somebody with special skills , Mulindwa stated.
Vipers sc has in recent years hired a string of foreign coaches, Miguel Da Costa, Javier Martinez, and Nam Ouma most by any domestic side only comparable to the National Team side.
The Brazilian has recently worked with Kenyan Giants Gor Mahia for a period of four-month when his contract was terminated due to the requirement of a Caf A license which he did not have, CAF A is a requirement for continental football.
It became necessary for him to go back to his country Brazil for equalization which he has since managed to to do.
