From 11, Bwanika led from 12-11 to game down (21-11).
Bwanika, lost the previous battle of the big guns in a decisive game to seed one Ibra Ssejemba (21-20) that was held earlier at Three stars- Sseguku.
Bwanika, also won the Grand open tournament at Pot It which is the only Pool Association of Uganda organised tournament this year.
Am happy i have defeated him because I had a lot to loose as Uganda’s finest, have been training so hard for this and my next task is to beat Ssejemba who narrowly defeated me in the last battle because am a better player. Mansoor Bwanika
Kasozi who won the first battle (18-8) at D’Arena in Kampala in 2019, took the loss in good faith but getting ready for a rematch against Mansoor.
He has won the battle today l, but the series is 1-1 now so am preparing for the rematch that will decide who makes it 2-1. Kasozi stated
Pool association of Uganda spokes person Peter Kyobe was impressed with show put up by both players speaking to Sports256 media in an exclusive interview.
It has been a great advert to Ugandan pool game seeing two of the best players in the country face off in this battle. Everyone gad something to proove. After defeating Kasozi, I believe Mansoor now is focused on asking Ibra Sejjemba a rematch. And also we are expecting Kasozi to ask for a rematch as well
Speaking about the possibility of Bwanika winning the rematch against Sejjemba, Kyobe had this to say;
Mansoor is such a fine player that can defeat any one, and we have seen games where Mansoor has defeated Ibra. Mansoor beat Ssejemba in Kampala Open 2018 which Ibra won and also defeated him in the Double elimination tournament at Kasubi. And I must say Mansoor is a more tournament player compared to Ibra. So conclusively, Kasozi loosing today doesn’t mean he is a fair or poor player because he has also defeated Kasozi before in the battle.
Eden Yard proprietor Paul Okware ‘Uncle Paul’ was delighted hosting a successful battle of Pool Cranes’ stars.
Am happy to organise a successful battle that Mansoor has won convincingly, the place is very safe, security is guaranteed here and am ready to host league matches because we have also started a club Eden Yard Pool Club and we have hosted league games before.
Eden Yard just opposite Kisubi Police post offers; Car Washing services, Mobile money services, restaurant, drinks and others.
